Hope things will work out perfectly well for them. i remember when I first saw him, and spoke to him, my impression was, is he a monk from the temple up the hills? 5 years w/o gf, how can dat be... Rare species, or maybe extinct. Opportunity costs, u gain some, u lose some. But this time, his gain is more than the lost, who knows, you might be back to Australia with the girl, which will probably makes you trip more worthwhile and memorable.
